Laura Linney is an American actor who has become popular for her portrayal of powerful but fragile characters. While working as a summer intern with her father's business Laura Linney fell in love with the theatre. Then she attended Brown University she studied acting as well as at Juilliard School, after which she began her acting career. After graduating from Brown University, she started making her Broadway debut shortly thereafter. Within two years of the time, her debut film was released and the next year she made her television debut. She has appeared on numerous shows on stage, television and film shows since that time. She's been nominated for three Tony Awards, three Academy Awards, five Awards, and four Primetime Emmy Awards (including two Golden Globe Awards), and received several awards during her time on the stage. But despite the many accolades, her love for the theatre isn't gone, and she continues to perform both onscreen and onstage.
